Want to learn more about science communication?

Writing for non-expert audiences is an important skill for communicating palaeoecology beyond our discipline and, of course, for career progression. At the Palaeoecology Special Interest Group launch meeting in Hull, UK last year, training in science communication received strong support so the British Ecological Society have organised a science communication and writing workshop in Stirling (Scotland) on 27-28 August 2019, with facilitators from The Conversation.

Information about the event and how to register can be found here: https://www.britishecologicalsociety.org/event/palaeosig-science-communication-writing-workshop/

The workshop will be based around ’50 influential papers in palaeoecology’ nominated by the global, virtual palaeo-community, so let us know your recommendations for essential palaeoecology reading: https://standrews.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_byJXkMC5864l0Pj.
