The International Paleolimnology Association (IPA) operates an open membership.

 

There is currently no fee for membership, but members have privileges, the main one being the right to vote on IPA business during the International Paleolimnology meetings. Each member will have full voting rights on all issues brought forward by the Association. To enable the Association to offer continued financial support for the various awards and student travel to meetings, a nominal 'fee' is typically added to conference registration.
